About us
The IT Director was founded by Ian Finlay, an IT Director with over 17 years experience in a number of industry sectors including telecomms, manufacturing, outsourced call centres and software vendor. Having provided informal advice to colleagues, business partners and local charitable organisations he realised that many software vendors, consultants and well-meaning advisors did not give the impartial, balanced advice many experienced business people outside of the IT word needed.
The IT Director provides this advice and related support services using Ian and a number of other experienced associates. Because many of the services are designed to be delivered remotely via the internet, email or telephone, the cost can be kept low and the choice of associates is widened.
